EDINA, MN, July 10, 2024 – Edina Realty (www.EdinaRealty.com), the largest residential real estate company in Minnesota and western Wisconsin is adding more than 100 agents and employees from BHHS North Properties to its offices.
With the expansion, Edina Realty will add a location to its roster of more than 75 offices as the company takes over the BHHS North Properties location in Onalaska, Wisconsin. Agents from five other BHHS North Properties locations throughout Minnesota will move to neighboring Edina Realty offices.
Edina Realty CEO Greg Mason said the company is excited about the opportunity. “We’re extremely pleased to welcome over 100 new agents and employees to the Edina Realty family—and to offer a new Edina Realty location serving the La Crosse, Wisconsin area. Peggy Lovejoy, president, and her agents have built an impressive business over the last 30-plus years, and we think they will be a great addition to our talented team. Furthermore, we are pleased to utilize Peggy’s expertise in her new role as a consulting trainer and real estate coach.”
“I’m really looking forward to joining the market leader,” said Peggy Lovejoy, president of BHHS North Properties. “Edina Realty is well known for offering incredible resources, education and the largest regional network to its agents and customers, and that’s part of what drew me to make this decision. With this move, our agents will have opportunities to expand their networks and be even more successful.”
The first half of the year brought an increase in sales activity and prices as well as an ongoing shortage of homes for sale, especially at lower price points. Recent months have seen a slight decline in sales activity as buyers and sellers confront higher mortgage interest rates and affordability challenges. Furthermore, the industry is moving through changes in how buyer’s broker compensation is displayed (MLSes are prohibited from doing so after Aug. 17) due to the National Association of Realtors (NAR) recent class action settlement.
Edina Realty continues to innovate to address changes in the industry as well as market trends. “Buyers can continue to view buyer’s broker compensation on all Edina Realty’s listings displayed exclusively on EdinaRealty.com,” said Mason. “We know how important it is for buyers to have a REALTOR by their side as they make significant decisions and financial commitments, and we’re dedicated to ensuring they have all the information they need to be successful in their home transaction,” Mason added. “In our nearly 70 years in real estate, we have navigated a lot of changes and market types successfully to help buyers and sellers move forward.”
